On N Railroad St. Franklin G Ludington operated a feedmill, it was sold to W.C. Richards, and was last operated by H & H Feed Mill. The building still stands today and is owned by Hadwin Fuller III.  The barn that stood across the road was a part of the feedmill operations.  When the barn came down a few years back, Ken Henderson was able to rescue some of the lumber before it was burned.

Ken Henderson crafted a 32 inch double tiered bench from this late 1800’s barn wood and has donated it to the PTHS for a raffle.  Members are selling tickets: $1 each or 6 for $5. The bench is shown at the Parish Farmer's Markets with chances available on Saturdays  July 12 - Aug. 9 The drawing will take place in the late afternoon at the  Parish Olde Home Days on August 9.
